The busiest and most exciting week of my work year is always the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, and this year was no exception. The week kicked off Wednesday night with the opening gala in Marion Square, followed by a Le Creuset breakfast with Chef Mike Lata and Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, a Signature Dinner at FIG with Chefs Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski of State Bird Provisions, a BevCon pop up at Salty Mike’s with guest bartenders and chefs like John Currence (and DJ vibes provided by my husband, aka DJ Tanlines), and an east meets west seafood luncheon at The Ordinary with Chef Renee Erickson. I got to hang with some of my industry heroes like Danny Meyer, Eric Asimov, Daniel Boulud, Gail Simmons and so many more, plus after parties with all my friends and co-workers every night. To top it all of, one of my best friends Romina came to stay with me for the week and snap some pictures (check out her page franklyro.com if you want to develop insatiable wanderlust.) Put a fork in me, I’m done!
